It is amazing how an innocent soul can have so much of a profound influence on the lives of so many in such a short time. Simra taught us that religion or culture has no bounds as we are so interconnected with each other through a higher power. Simra showed us how this higher spiritual power guides us through so many people from diffrent walks of life. We thought that we had faith but Simra taught us what faith is all about.

When we learnt of Simra's complex medical condition, we had fear and doubts. Throughout Simra's life we met so many nurses, doctors, social workers, parents of medically complex children, and specialists who played an important role in showing us the positive side of a challenging situation. . Simra made us all look at life with humility, strength and resolve. Many people of different faiths (Christians, Moslems, Jews, Hindus) came to offer us their wisdom and showed us the commonality amongst us - the belief that God is merciful and and is present amongst all of us. They all gave us courage and hope throughtout this beautiful journey and prayed immensely for Simra.

Before Simra was born we dreamt of holding her in the nursery, putting her in a car seat and taking her home to her special room. Simra took us to a different but beaufiful world where sick children fight the odds to survive. She took us to a world where strangers pour out their love and devotion to help children through their illness and give a shoulder for parents to cry on. She took us to a world where determined and devoted volunteers and parents help children through this difficult and challenging journey. She showed us that if you want to connect with a higher spiritual power, you just need to reflect with humility in silence and sincerely pray for everyone who needs prayers arround you. Simra showed us that parenthood is not merely being parents but being an important part of a child's life who you love unconditionally.

We would like to sincerely thank all the nurses, doctors, specialists, agencies and support staff who helped us with Simra's care. We are really touched by Simra's Primary Nurses and Home Health Nurse who loved Simra so dearly and helped us advocate for her. Also we would like to thank our close family friends who gave us so much encouragement and were there throughout our journey supporting us and rallying behind us through good times and challenging times. Our deepest appreciation goes to the volunteeers at Ronald McDonald House who put a smile on our faces during the challenging and confusing time when Simra was at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. We are also really thankful to Grahame Roberts who helped me out with the design of this website. Finally I would also like to thank the Almighty for giving us a chance to take Simra home for the last time before she departed us to heaven.
